Qualifications

Master's degree in nursing required

• Graduate of an accredited graduate program in psychiatric mental-health nursing

• ANCC Board certification 

• Valid Massachusetts Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing

• 2-3 years of experience as a PMHNP and able to practice independently 

• DEA license

• Comfortable prescribing for a spectrum of mental health disorders

•A qualified candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal communication, conflict resolution and organizational skills
• A strong passion for helping those who suffer with a mental illness and are able to provide respectful, empowering and compassionate care

•Must be willing to uphold the mission of the practice as well as Nursing code of ethics. 
 

 

Responsibilities
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations for individual across the lifespan (Child and adolescent population experience preferred)

• Prescribe medication in an effort to reduce mental health symptoms and make adjustments, as needed

•Develop treatment plans based on assessments 

• Maintain working relationship with patient and/or family while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries 

• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities

• Perform prior authorizations for prescribed medications if necessary

• Maintain effective working relationships with collaborative leadership teams and interdisciplinary health care teams and appropriate community providers

• Schedule your own patient follow-up appointments

• Document in the electronic medical record in a timely manner 

• Submit claims through the billing platform embedded in the electronic medical record.

Practice Assistant (Remote)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency, BS preferred or equivalent years of experience in a Mental Health setting.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills as well as sound judgment

  • Must have good problem-solving skills and the ability to gather and interpret data to resolve problems

  • Must have good telephone skills, and ability to interact with patients over the phone – especially patients who are in distress, or may be anxious.

  • The ability to work independently handling multiple tasks simultaneously and stay organized

  • Great attention to detail

  • Ability to demonstrate confidence and maturity to make decisions

  • Ability to read (typed) NP notes and relay requested information to pharmacists, therapists, and/or patients

  • Must have a smart phone to access the app/phone service

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and monitor the scheduling of medical staff in order to maximize available time, reduce no shows and provide quality service to clients. 

  • Checking voicemails, returning calls, sending out appointment reminders

  • Responding to emails from prospective/current clients and other referral sources

  • Maintaining clear call logs consisting of communication with insurance companies regarding benefits, eligibility, updates on claim statuses, appeals, and other pertinent information, as well as communicating this information to clients and the clinical team clearly and accurately

  • Entering patient data using our medical software and billing programs and updating invoices and billing clients for services

  • Assisting patients with telehealth/technological issues and appointment preparation.

  • Respond to questions and requests from clients and staff regarding a wide range of office procedures.

  • There is a required HIPAA training and HIPAA agreement that will need to be signed

  • Facilitate medical record requests, upload faxes from Spruce Health, primary care coordination, patient support, prior authorizations and refill requests.

  • Assist in the planning, developing and implementing of services and programs to maximize resources and improve productivity and quality.

  • Attends meetings and takes notes as deemed necessary

  • Assist with Health insurance Credentialing for new providers

  • Assist with social media

  • Other as needed administrative tasks as determined by RBH’s leadership
